Valve lies verlauten das der Shooter Call of Duty: Black Ops am 9. November mit vollen Steamworks Support erscheinen wird.
Das bedeutet das der Acount online an Steam gebunden sein wird, somit werden Updated automatisch eingespielt, Spielstände und die Achievements werden via Steam Cloud gespeichert.
Die online Aktivierung via Steam bzw. das der Account an Steam gebunden wird, dient auch als Kopierschutz, aber anders als beim Vorgänger CoD Modern Warfare 2 wird CoD Black Ops auch offline spielbar sein.
Das Matchmaking System und Iwnet entfallen zum Glück bei Black Ops, da es dedizierte Server geben wird.
